How to manage your card & account
Whether you want to change your PIN, request an extra card, or unlock overseas access—managing your card has never been easier.
What is this?
Need to go shopping and want to use your new bank card? You’ll need to get a five-digit PIN when you use your card. This can be changed conveniently at any time.
How to get your PIN?
There are a few ways to get your PIN:
- Use the Standard Bank Mobile App
a. Open and sign in to the Standard Bank Mobile App
b. Select Manage
c. Select Cards
d. Select Card settings for the applicable card
e. Select View PIN

- You can also visit your nearest branch
To change your PIN, visit your nearest Standard Bank ATM, insert your card and follow the on-screen instructions

- This is a free service for all Standard Bank cardholders.
What is this?
Need to make a large purchase and want to increase your credit card limit? You can apply for an increase within 6 months of receiving your card.
How to use it?
- Sign into your Standard Bank App
- Tap on your Credit Card Tile in the Accounts section
- Next, tap on ‘Apply’ on the ‘Credit Limit Increase’ tile*
- Follow the prompts to find out how much you qualify for
- Personalise your offer and complete your application
Please note that the credit limit increase option is only available if you have an existing Standard Bank Credit Card. All limit increases are based on your card account and credit history. T&Cs apply.

This is a free service to Standard Bank cardholders but will require a full credit check.

What is this?
Planning a trip overseas? Rest assured that your card is accepted at over 30 million merchants worldwide.
How to use it?
You can activate your card for overseas travel in the Banking App or by letting us know your travel dates before you leave.
Sign into the banking app, navigate to the card you will be taking, select Use Your Card Abroad and enter your travel dates to activate your card for overseas use.

What it costs?
This is a free service to all Standard Bank cardholders plus, if you buy your flight tickets using your card, you’ll automatically get free basic travel insurance. You’ll also get the option of taking up additional cover at preferential rates.
You can link your card to your Online Banking profile to see your latest card balances and other features.

Want to disable all ATM transactions or online transactions?
The Banking App allows you to enable or disable the following transactions on your card:
- All
- ATM
- Point of Sale
- Online
- International
How to use it?
Sign into the Banking App, navigate to the card you’re using, select ‘Card Settings’ and disable the transactions you don’t want to use. You can also call us on 0860 000 0000 or visit your nearest branch.
