If you are an existing Standard Bank customer

Apply via Online Banking Apply via our Banking App
  1. Sign into your Online Banking profile 
  2. Navigate to the ‘Save & Invest’ tab and click on the ‘Browse’ button
  3. Scroll down until you see the tile for the account you want to open
  4. Click on ‘Get Account’ and complete the steps

  2. Tap on the ‘More’ tile
  3. Select ‘Open a new account’
  4. Tap on ‘Savings and Investment’
  5. Scroll down until you see the tile for the account you want to open
  6. Tap ‘Open’ and complete the steps .

If you don’t bank with us, you can apply at any of our branches.

Ensure that you have the following documents ready:

  • Your South African ID (or passport if you’re not a South African citizen)*
  • Proof of residence not older than 3 months

*Minors will need the consent of a parent or guardian.
